LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 24, 2018) – On June 23 The Burl welcomed back Austin, Texas-based progressive bluegrass foursome Wood & Wire with local support from singer-songwriter Andrew Hibbard. The show was the third for Wood & Wire at the near two-year-old Lexington venue following performances in February 2017 with Trucker Hat Coalition and June 2017 with Restless Leg String Band.

However, this time around the group brought with them a new album titled North of Despair, out April 13 via Blue Corn Music. With new music in toe the same Wood & Wire remained, equipped with tight harmonies and fiery picking. View pictures of the show below and stream North of Despair above on Spotify (then buy it at the band’s online store).
