LEXINGTON, Ky. — This week Eastern and Western Kentucky were well represented with singer-songwriters Chelsea Nolan, of Stanton, and Dan Conn, of Slaughters, along with special co-host Jen Tackett, of Georgetown.
Chelsea Nolan was featured for the first hour of the program to discuss her debut album chelsea., which she’s celebrating the release of on Friday, October 12 at Country Boy Brewing in Georgetown with Geno Seale and Wayne Graham; her close relationship with brother and fellow musician Josh, songwriting and much more. Throughout the hour we previewed songs “Build a Fire,” “Rock Bottom” and “If you think it’s about you, it probably is” off Nolan’s record as well.
For hour two we shined a spotlight on Dan Conn. The songwriter discussed his musical background and influences, why he prefers recording at home rather than in a studio, his upcoming album Shine On, his songwriting process and much more. Conn also performed original tunes “I Don’t Mind,” “Green Eyed Gal” and “Like a Diamond” live in studio.
