MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Rooster Walk has revealed the first allotment of artists to appear at it’s 11th annual gathering  (RW11) from May 23-26, 2019, on  Pop’s Farm in Martinsville, Va., led by Lexington rockers C2 & The Brothers Reed (x2), guitar wizard Billy Strings (x2) and the lively husband and wife duo of Shovels and Rope.

Rounding out the first wave of artists for RW11 are Mountain Heart (x2), Yarn (x2), Kendall Street Co. (x2) and State Birds, comprised of Jeff Sipe, Neal Fountain, Mike Seal and Bryan Lopes. According to a release from the festival, more than 40 additional artists will be announced for the gathering in the coming months.

C2 & The Brothers Reed’s authenticity shines in their studio debut Weigh Station Tour. Split into sides, Exit A and Exit B, Weigh Station Tour explores gritty rock and roll while referencing 60’s and 70’s era soul music, embracing a style that is nearly lost but deeply needed in the surge of modern sound and technology.

The band, comprised of vocalist/bassist Cameron Clark, guitarist Kelly Reed, drummer Kody Reed, and keyboardist James Weishar, hide behind nothing on their records, with a realness that has been constantly attributed to their live performance.

Since forming in 2013, C2 & The Brothers Reed have made notable appearances with acts such as Stone Temple Pilots’ Scott Weiland, Moon Taxi, Eddie Money, Warrant, and jam bands The Werks and Dopapod. Weigh Station Tour: Exit A was released in January 2015 and the followup Exit B released summer of 2016.

C2 & The Brothers Reed recently released a live video performance of their original song “Karma” filmed by Starscape Media. Watch below.

Tickets for Rooster Walk 11 officially go on sale at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21. For more information visit roosterwalk.com.
