MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Bluesy southern rocker Marcus King will again team up with bluegrass picking fiend Billy Strings for a special Kings & Strings set at Rooster Walk 11, to be held from May 23-26, 2019 on Pop’s Farm in Martinsville, Va. The duo made their debut — and only performance together to date — in 2017 at Rooster Walk 10 after having never met before.
In addition to Kings & Strings, Marcus King will also perform with his all-star Marcus King Band, one of the country’s hottest acts. King will be making his third consecutive appearance at the festival. The band’s mix of blues and Southern rock, paired with King’s unparalleled guitar work, has made them a must-see event at venues around the country. Strings will also perform separate from Kings & Strings at the festival with two additional sets.
Previously announced acts for Rooster Walk 11 are Lexington rockers C2 & The Brothers Reed, Shovels & Rope, Mountain Heart (x2), Yarn (x2), Kendall Street Co. (x2) and State Birds, comprised of Jeff Sipe, Neal Fountain, Mike Seal and Bryan Lopes.
