LEXINGTON, Ky. — Ryan Anderson of Louisville-based indie-folk outfit Bendigo Fletcher and Tanner Blevins of Lexington’s Wicked Peace joined Matt Wickstrom this week for the first episode of Wick’s Picks on Lexington Community Radio in 2019.
First to the program was Ryan Anderson, who discussed his musical upbringing, the formation and evolution of Bendigo Fletcher, new music and more. Mixed in amongst the conversation we listened to songs new and old from Bendigo Fletcher including “Sleeping Pad” and new song “Winter Strokes” along with a tune from Rayland Baxter’s latest “Wide Awake,” whom the band recently joined in late 2018 for a run of dates around the midwest and southeast.
Following Anderson and a half-time break featuring Jim James’ “All in Your Head” Tanner Blevins of Wicked Peace joined the show. Much like Anderson, Blevins discussed his background in music spurred by Guitar Hero; a bevy of new EP’s planned for the new year, upcoming shows and more. We also listened to “Portland” and “Rock N Roll” off their recently released “Portland” EP, out in late 2018.
