LEXINGTON, Ky. — Power rock trio Sour Cream and singer-songwriter Chelsea Adams joined me this week for episode 56 of Wick’s Picks on Lexington Community Radio.

Beginning the program was Sour Cream, who joined me on Feb. 12 to pre-record a segment in which we discussed the band’s founding, connection to the Kentucky Headhunters, recent Album of the Year win at the 5th annual Lexington Music Awards and more.

We also heard three tracks from the band’s award-winning album – “Mushroom Song,” “Dynamic” and Wackie Jackie” – along with Mojothunder’s latest “You Got Me Like” and Carl Broemel’s “Starting From Scratch.” Sour Cream and Mojothunder will team up with Bedford Band when they perform on Feb. 22 at the Rock Taphouse in Morehead. Broemel returns to The Burl on Feb. 19 with Tyler Ramsey.

Joining the show for hour two was singer-songwriter Chelsea Adams and photographer/co-host Sarah Cahill. Adams discussed her musical roots, sharing her passion with her father Ray, recording contemporary Christian pop, co-writing and much more. Adams also performed three originals live in studio – “Lipstick and Smoke,” “Second Hand Woman” and “You’re Kind.” During the hour we also heard “Blame it on the Whiskey” from Whitney Acke and Ray Adams (Acke-Adams) and “When Your Love Hits Me” from Abby Hamilton, who you can see at The Burl on Feb. 22 with Valley Queen.

Listen to an archive of the show below.

Wick’s Picks returns to the airwaves from 9-11 a.m. on Feb. 25 with music and conversation from Jinx Machine – the latest project from Trenton and Trevor Jenkins – and another guest to be announced. Tune in on the dial at 93.9 FM-WLXU or stream online at lexingtoncommunityradio.org.
