The Infamous Stringdusters top an impressive lineup for Terrapin Hill Farm’s annual Cabin Fever Reliever festival April 16-19, 2020.
Tucked away in the cool mountains of North Plains, Oregon, Horning’s Hideout provided the perfect scenic escape for a weekend of bluegrass euphoria at the 15th annual Northwest String Summit, hosted by Nederland, Colorado’s Yonder Mountain String Band.
They may be called the Lil Smokies, but this five-piece newgrass outfit from Missoula, Montana, is anything but. Led by dobro wizard Andy Dunnigan, the group has taken off in the past year after winning the band competition at the prestigious Telluride bluegrass festival in 2015, which set in course a spiral of changes for the band.
The heat was persistent throughout the weekend at the 13th annual ROMP festival in Owensboro, Kentucky with temperatures firmly cemented in the 90s, but even more persistent were the musicians and fans who battled vigorously throughout each day to spread the love and joy of music and community that you can only find in a festival environment.
