Rebirth Brass Band, The Werks and Marbin are among the artists tapped for the third annual PeteFest Music Festival from Sept. 6-8.
This week guests DeBraun Thomas, Joslyn Hampton and Marty Charters of Joslyn & The Sweet Compression; and Young-Eun Koepke and Molly Jones of Petefest Music Festival joined host Matt Wickstrom for Wick’s Picks on Lexington Community Radio.
The Second Annual PeteFest Music Festival will be held on Sept. 7th-9th, 2018 in Louisville, Ky. at Jones Fields Nature Preserve with Son Volt, a “Stop Making Sense” Talking Heads collaboration, Ben Sollee and others.
Petefest has announced the first batch of artists to perform at its second annual gathering from Sept. 7-9, which is led by Mojoflo, Magnolia Boulevard and Johnny Conqueroo.
Organized in memory of Pete Jones and to raise money for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, the first annual PeteFest at Jones Fields outside Louisville was a smashing success. Driving up to the festival it was hard to fathom how close it was to the bustling downtown of Louisville, with meandering roads hugged by bustling tree lines leading to the festival grounds, offering the perfect escape for a weekend of music and philanthropy.
