Grayson Jenkins didn’t always want to be a musician. After being given a guitar by his mom when he was 14 and learning a handful of beginner chords, Jenkins set the instrument aside to focus on sports in high school. He didn’t dust off that guitar again until he moved from Greenville in Muhlenburg County to Lexington to enroll at UK in 2009.
Born in Garrison, Kentucky nestled along the Ohio River between Maysville and Ashland is Eric Bolander, a man who wears many hats, including musician, artist, teacher, coach and most recently, father.
Kicking off their spring 2016 tour in the Bluegrass, the Nashville-based Old Crow Medicine Show returns to Lexington Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31 for a two-night run of American roots music at UK’s Singletary Center for the Arts.
Playing their first gig in the fall of 2009 as a three-piece, Bowling Green’s Fat Box has since grown into a six-piece armada of funk, jazz, and rock’n’roll. The diverse and energetic group is currently celebrating the recent release of their live album, recorded last March in Lexington at Cosmic Charlie’s.
